Remarkable Universe
PrologueI have decided to make this a public document in hopes that many will edit and give feed back for this game idea. If I have requested editing from you take a look at this and get back to me with feed back.I also want to thank you for all your help.
IntroRemarkable Universe is not a game that is designed around making lots of money. In fact it is designed in hopes to help people grow. I want it to be a tool that religious leaders around to world can use to stay in contact with the people that they have helped. That being said it is not free to maintain this game/tool, and it will take some cash flow to get it ready for release, maintain it , and continue to grow it. Please give me any feedback that you have at the contact information below.
StoryThere I was sitting in prison. The year was 2008 and after 4 months at the county jail I found my self on the prison yard for the first time. I was scared, and had asked God to help this prison trip benefit him in some way. I found my self deep in the word of God, but lost in where I wanted to be in life. I was disgruntled with my self for becoming incarcerated, but I knew there was more to life for me than just prison....
AnalysisUpon learning about the System Development Life Cycle I realized that in the analysis phase of the development process you take what the customer wants and figure that out in full. Being that God commissioned me to make this game I must remember to go back to this phase and communicate with God in order to make the game that he wants specifically. This needs to remain a primary focus for the development on this game. This is then declared as Gods game, and not my own. I am just the one that he contracted to make this game. This means that at every phase of development I need to consult with God in order to meet his approval just as if he had paid, or will pay me in completion, as if he where the customer.
CombatIt occurred to me early on that lots of games have violence, and that is the main focus of the game. Weather it is in the form of Mario jumping on Koopa Troopa, or weather you are James Bond and shooting the enemy forces. Some games have even made it feel like you are committing murder. Violence does not need to be the focus of a game. I do not feel it important to enforce no violence. One of the biggest lessons that I have learned in life is that life in it self is very fragile, and extremely precious. I learned this while in Iraq partaking in war, and there was a suicide bomber. I felt, at the time, like I could be gone in just the blink of an eye. This is still true today. I didn't get this life experience without violence though........
The Nameless OneThe Nameless One is a metaphor for God. It will be used to describe the Father, the Son, and the Holly Spirit. I am using a metaphor for the above because if this game where to be played by a non Christian than they would be lost enough to ask questions, but not so lost that they wouldn't speculate. The hope here is that it will add to the controversy that the game will create. If there is not controversy in the game then there will be no growth. You see in order for one to grow they must begin to question there own reality. If there is only ever one side to the debate than there is no controversy, no cross examination, and of course no growth.
Ways to playThere will be many ways to play Remarkable Universe....
The MapHave you ever herd of the philosophical view that if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to witness it than it doesn't make any noise????
AccomplishmentsThis is the section where you learn all about what I am doing behind the scenes. I do allot of programming so this might get really technical really quick, so hold on to your britches Aunt Fanny cause we are going deep.

Added a section of design accomplished so far. I added a way for people to donate. Overhauled the layout of the website. 12/15/2013 Added a section called Analysis. Changed cover photo. 12/08/2013 Made changes to the wording in the intro. Made changes to prologue. Added update section. The story section needed a working over so I gave it an old left, right, jab. Added to Combat. That section was way not done yet, and still needs more work. Added a section for the Nameless One. Added a section for the Map. Contact Information |
